Certificate of Currency.ARTC - Heat & cut materials using Oxy - LPG equipment for the rail (80274 OR 44444)

From 1 January 2023, this competency must be awarded to the Rail Industry Worker profile using one of the following methods :

  • Directly awarded by the RTO who delivered the training, or
  • Added by a company if the certificate has back-to-source verification, such as a QR code. Please check the accepted evidence below for an example.

Competency requirements

  • Evidence for this competency should be a certificate of achievement or certificate of currency issued by an ARTC authorised registered training organisation (RTO).
  • Name on document to match the registered person in RIW, shortened names are permitted e.g.: Chris for Christopher.
  • The document must be less than 2 years old to ensure it is valid for this competency.
  • Evidence is to state completion of the Heat & cut materials using Oxy - LPG equipment for the rail recertification.
  • We also accept certificates issued by  John Holland which state Rail Welder - Aluminothermic.  Heat & cut materials using Oxy - LPG equipment for the rail industry.
  • Assessment criteria is aligned to: ARTC - Rail Welder - Aluminothermic currency.
  • For ARTC Employees Only:
    • An ARTC issued 'Validation OR Verification of Currency' document may be accepted for this competency.

Upload requirements

  • An issue date = Completion date.
  • An issue date and 2 year expiry date is to be entered for this qualification.
