Certificate.PTA Training Certificate: SW (62139)
From 1 January 2023, this competency must be awarded to the Rail Industry Worker profile using one of the following methods :
- Directly awarded by the RTO who delivered the training, or
- Added by a company if the certificate has back-to-source verification, such as a QR code. Please check the accepted evidence below for an example.

Competency requirements
Note: Effective from the 1st March 2018, Rail Safety Workers who have undertaken PTA's full Supervised Worker training since 1st March 2016, will be eligible to have their Supervised Worker Track Access extended from 2 years to 5 years, from the date of issue or expiry of their medical, whichever comes first. Rail Safety Workers who have completed the training prior to 1st March 2016, and who still hold Supervised Worker competency on their Track Access Permit, will be required to successfully complete the one day Full Safeworking Supervised Worker Course to be eligible to have their Supervised Worker Track Access extended to 5 years. |
