Qualified.V/line - Safely access rail corridor or Certificate of Currency.V/line - Safely access rail corridor (51736 or 51741)

From 1 January 2023, this competency must be awarded to the Rail Industry Worker profile using one of the following methods :

  • Directly awarded by the RTO who delivered the training, or
  • Added by a company if the certificate has back-to-source verification, such as a QR code. Please check the accepted evidence below for an example

Competency requirements

  • Applicants name must be displayed on the uploaded evidence
  • Evidence must be a current Statement of Attainment
  • Statement Of Attainment must be issued by an RTO and includes a Nationally Recognised Training logo
  • Statement of Attainment must show TLIF2080 (A, B, C) or TLIF0020 Safely access the rail corridor
  • First-time uploads - Statement of Attainment must be uploaded
  • Maintain currency -  Certificate of Achievement is accepted
  • Must have a date of completion that is less than 2 years ago
  • A V/line-approved RTO must be used


NOTE: Training done by Australian Testing Services can also be accepted for this competency as of 09/05/2022
NOTE: Effective as of 23/02/2021 Documents issued by Accell Pty Ltd is not to be accepted
  • However, training done by John Holland for Safely Access the Rail Corridor which is co-branded Accell & John Holland can still be accepted

NOTE: The Instruction Company(TIC) are no longer approved to deliver any Certificate of Currency training effective as of 03/01/2024
