Certificate II.ARTC - Rail Infrastructure (Structures) (45556)


Competency Requirements

  • Applicant's name are to be shown on the documentation
  • Applicant's names must match (However shortened versions such as 'Chris' for Christopher can be accepted)
  • Registered Training Organisation name to be displayed on the document
  • An actual copy of the certificate is required. Letters are not accepted in lieu of this.
  • Can be a Certificate II Rail Infrastructure with the mandatory units or individual statement of attainments
  • Completion date or issue date must be displayed
  • Certificate Number
  • Certificate issued by Centre for Excellence in Rail Training (CERT) (RTO: 51333) is not accepted if issued on or after 11/04/2024.


Must have all the following Units (or equivalent):

  • TLIF2010- Apply fatigue management strategies
  • TLIC0020- Shift materials safely using manual handling methods
  • TLIU2008- Apply environmental procedures to rail infrastructure
  • TLIF0025- Follow work health and safety procedures
  • TLIB0012- Maintain and use hand tools
  • TLIE1003- Participate in basic workplace communication
  • TLIF0020- Safely access the rail corridor
  • CPCCWHS1001- work safely in the construction industry
  • RIICCM201E- Carry out measurements and calculations
  • RIICCM203E- Read and interpret plans and job specifications
  • TLIB2084- Carry out routine maintenance of structures
  • TLIB2086- Apply awareness of structures fundamentals
  • TLIB2092- Operate minor mechanical equipment

Verification.ARTC - Visual Structures Inspector Pathway 2 (ARTC Employee Only) (45554)


Competency Requirements

  • Applicant name must match the name in RIW, shortened names are acceptable Chris for Christopher etc.
  • A form of evidence such as a resume and completed structures questionnaire is required to be uploaded
  • Evidence must display what is deemed an adequate amount of relevant experience as deemed fit by the verifier / assessor / Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Black and white OR colour copy of this document is accepted.
  • Must be clear and legible.
NOTE: The uploaded document for this competency is expected to be verified by the relevant assessor/subject matter expert rather than a RIW processing team member
  • This document will correctly go through as 'pending' and ready for verification to the relevant assessor when the applicant has completed all mandatory uploads and then uses the 'Apply for assessment' option to submit the entire application to a nominated assessor.
