Reference.TfNSW Statement of Certification (CKR01): Ultrasonic Operator (65379)

From 1 January 2023, this competency must be awarded to the Rail Industry Worker profile using one of the following methods :

  • Directly awarded by the RTO who delivered the training, or
  • Added by a company if the certificate has back-to-source verification, such as a QR code. Please check the accepted evidence below for an example.

Competency requirements

  • The applicant's name is to be displayed on the document
  • The applicant's name on the document is required to match the applicant's registered cardholder name (However shortened versions such as 'Chris' for 'Christopher' would be acceptable first name differences)
  • A Statement of Attendance is to be uploaded to this competency.
  • TfNSW accepts the following evidence for the role of Ultrasonic Operator:
    • TfNSW issued Statement of Attendance which is to identify the role: Ultrasonic Operator.
  • The Ultrasonic Testing Operator Licence uploaded to this competency identifies that you have the required experience for this role.
    • Where the restrictions show “Nil”, this shows the Licence is for recertification.
    • Where the restrictions show “Direct Supervision”, and "Indirect Supervision" this shows the Licence is for the first time achieved.
    • Where the certificate identifies it as a re-certification, upload to the certification competency.
  • If the Contractor competency letter is uploaded it must be signed by Stephen Maddock, Ben Muscat or Damion Mason. See the example attached in the accepted evidence.

Upload requirements

  • Please upload a copy of your Statement of Certification issued by TfNSW or your Ultrasonic Testing Operator Licence issued by Sydney Trains, which shows the restriction: Nil or Direct Supervision. Set the expiry date, which will be identified on your Licence.
  • Or set the expiry date 1 year from the completed date on the Statement of Attendance for Ultrasonic Testing Final Assessment.
  • Or set the expiry date 1 year from the completed date on the Statement of Attendance for Perform Ultrasonic Test Recert.
