Reference.TfNSW Statement of Certification (O0551) Maintain Points and Crossings (64547)

From 1 January 2023, this competency must be awarded to the Rail Industry Worker profile using one of the following methods :

  • Directly awarded by the RTO who delivered the training, or
  • Added by a company if the certificate has back-to-source verification, such as a QR code. Please check the accepted evidence below for an example.

Competency requirements

  • Applicants name is to be displayed on the document
  • Applicants name on document is required to match the applicant's registered cardholder name (However shortened versions such as 'Chris' for 'Christopher' would be acceptable first name differences)
  • A TfNSW LMS issued statement of attendance is to be uploaded to this competency.
  • TfNSW accepts the following evidence for the role of Maintain and Certify Turnouts:
    • Check and Repair Points and Crossings Final Assessment (3 of 3) 
    • Maintain and Certify Turnouts Recertification

Upload requirements

    • This competency can only be awarded by TfNSW L&D and ST-WCL
      • send an email to learning@transport.nsw.gov.au to request upload of your certificate.
  • Expiry dates
    • If Check and Repair Points and Crossings Final Assessment (3 of 3) is completed before 01/06/25 set expiry to 30/11/25
    • If Check and Repair Points and Crossings Final Assessment (3 of 3) is completed on or after 01/06/25 set expiry to 30/11/27
    • If Maintain and Certify Turnouts Recertification is completed on or after 01/06/2025 set expiry date to 30/11/2027
