Competency requirements

• Any form of evidence to demonstrate that a person has competed “Cultural Awareness training” can be accepted. (The below example is one of the forms that is accepted, others may be with a different organisation header and different format, but the course must say Cultural Awareness Training.)
• A “Foundation in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Competence” certificate from the Centre of Cultural Competence Australia is also accepted
• Name on induction paperwork to match the applicants registered name in RIW
• Cultural Awareness Training to be listed
• Black and white or colour copies accepted
