Competency requirements

  • Name on documentation to match the person registered (Shortened version of name is accepted EG Chris for Christopher)
  • Must show 'ARTC National Contractor Induction' as the course
  • The date of assessment/ completion and expiration date must be shown on the document
  • ARTC National Contractor Induction provides contractors with information specific to ARTC's business requirements. The induction focuses on safety, environmental and community awareness, and is mandatory for all contractors, forming part of the minimum requirement to obtain a Rail Industry Worker Card.
  • Please visit www.artc.com.au under safety management, "Working with us/Contractor Information/Inductions/ARTC Induction Portal" and register to complete the free online induction. Upon completion you will be emailed your card which you will need to upload a scanned copy of.
  • Black and white or colour copy of this document is accepted

Upload requirements

  • You may accept a copy of the ARTC Contractor induction card (which can also appear as two squared sections of information on one page rather than an actual 'card') OR a receipt of completion for this induction
  • If the card is uploaded, the back of the card does not need to be signed
  • There is an expiry of 5 years to be recorded as shown on the document
