ARTC.Certificate of Currency. Apply Electric welding process to rail (44453)

From 1 January 2023, this competency must be awarded to the Rail Industry Worker profile using one of the following methods :

  • Directly awarded by the RTO who delivered the training, or
  • Added by a company if the certificate has back-to-source verification, such as a QR code. Please check the accepted evidence below for an example.

Competency requirements

  • Certificate must be either a Certificate of Achievement for 'Apply Electric welding process to rail' or a Statement of Attainment for 'TLIW0036 Apply Electric welding process to rail'.
  • Name on document to match the registered person in RIW, shortened names are permitted e.g.: Chris for Christopher

  • Document must be issued by a registered training organisation (RTO) with this unit on their deliverable scope

  • The document must be less than 2 years old to ensure it is valid for this competency

  • The AQF national qualification TLIW0036 Apply Electric welding process to rail must be appear in RIW to show initial
    training pathway.

  • Issue date = Completion date on document
  • An issue date and 2 year expiry date is to be entered for this qualification.
  • A Statement of Attainment can be used as evidence as long as it is less than 2 years and loaded to National Competency in RIW also, otherwise recertification is required
