TfNSW Track Protection Officer Lv 4 (910103)

From 1 January 2023, this competency must be awarded to the Rail Industry Worker profile using one of the following methods :

  • Directly awarded by the RTO who delivered the training, or
  • Added by a company if the certificate has back-to-source verification, such as a QR code. Please check the accepted evidence below for an example.

Competency requirements

  • Applicants name is to be displayed on the document
  • Applicants name on document is required to match the applicants registered cardholder name (However shortened versions such as 'Chris' for 'Christopher' would be acceptable first name differences)
  • A Statement of Attendance is to be uploaded to this competency.
  • TfNSW accepts the following evidence for the role of TfNSW Track Protection Officer Level 4:

  • Certificate of competency with "Track Protection Officer Lv 04 Authorisation", "Track Protection Officer Lv 4 final assessment" or "Protection Officer 4 recertification" with a 2020, 2021 or 2022 date.

  • The Protection Officer 4 recertification can ONLY be accepted if the person already holds/ has held a valid version of the Track Protection Officer Lv 4 competency.

Upload requirements

  • Certificates issued in 2020, 2021, 2022 or up to and including 30/03/2023 will be assigned an expiry date of 30/03/2023
  • Any certificate with an issue date of 31/03/2023 or later is to be applied an expiry date of 2yrs from the date of completion as identified on the certificate
