Certificate of Currency.V/line - Track Vehicle Operator 1 (Level 4 : TVO1) (47193)

From 1 January 2023, this competency must be awarded to the Rail Industry Worker profile using one of the following methods :

  • Directly awarded by the RTO who delivered the training, or
  • Added by a company if the certificate has back-to-source verification, such as a QR code. Please check the accepted evidence below for an example

Competency requirements

  • Applicants name must be shown on document and must match the applicants name as it is registered in the system.
  • A statement of attainment showing all mandatory units within the course, some selected mandatory units within this course (ONLY when the unit combination is detailed acceptable in the equivalent MTM business rule**) OR a certificate of achievement/certificate of completion can be uploaded for this competency
  • Please visit the Statement of Attainment Business Rule for the additional statement of attainment business rule requirements.
  • Certificate of Achievement/Completion stating Metro Track Vehicle Operator or V/Line Track Vehicle Operator can be accepted for this competency. 
  • The statement of attainment must show all mandatory units of competency that are required as shown within the V/Line - Track Vehicle Operator 1 (Level 4: TVO1) course requirements listed on the V/Line Safeworking Matrix.
    As per the V/Line safeworking matrix for a statement of attainment to be accepted, the relevant national job role is also required.

  • Only training from one of the following providers can be accepted:
    • John Holland
    • MTM
    • Instruction Company
    • CERT
    • Training Ahead Australia (TAA)
    • ATS
  • Black & white or colour copy of the document is acceptable.
  • Document must be clear / legible.


NOTE: CERT & The Instruction Company (TIC) are no longer approved to deliver any Certificate of Currency training effective as of 03/01/2024

Upload requirements

  • Date of assessment / date of completion shown on certificate must be entered as the issue date within RIW
  • Enter the expiration as a date 2 years form the issue date
