Competency Requirements

• Student Name matches RIW Cardholder’s name (However shortened versions such as 'Chris' for Christopher can be accepted) 
• Registered Training Organisation/Recognised Training Institution name to be displayed on the document.
• A copy of the certificate/degree is required. Letters are not accepted in lieu of this document.
• The completion date or issue date must be displayed on the evidence.
• Course title shall be one of the following:
  • 21730VIC Cert IV in Rail and Tram Signal Systems
  • UTE40499 Cert IV in Electro Technology – Computer Systems (Spec in Control)
  • PTC Signal Maintenance Technician Course (Certificate)
• Document/Certificate/Number must be shown on the evidence.

• Award date = issue date 
• No expiry 

• No example provided.

• Reject all other examples stating that the evidence doesn’t match the Business Rule and advise the RIW Cardholder to lodge a complaint to have their evidence reviewed by the relevant committee and added to the examples of acceptable evidence.
