Competency Requirements

• Name on the certificate to match the name in the system (shortened versions accepted, e.g. 'Chris' accepted for Christopher)
• RTO Name and Logo to be displayed on the document
• An actual copy of the certificate/degree is required. Letters are not accepted in lieu of this.
• The completion date or issue date must be displayed
• Course title and associated level to be listed on the certificate to contain any of the following wording - Bachelor Degree in Science 
• Any Bachelor of Science degree is accepted regardless of the field
• Document / Certificate / Number must be indicated on the certificate
• For overseas/international Bachelor and Master of Science degrees to be accepted in the RIW Program, the qualification needs to be assessed by the bureau for assessment of overseas qualifications, which represents the reciprocating boards of Australia and New Zealand like the NSW Department of Training and Education Co-ordination (DTEC)
• A copy of the Bureau assessment must be uploaded with the degree, and the assessment must have the wording: “The Australian equivalent of this qualification is as follows: Australian Bachelor/Master Degree”.

• Award date = Issue date/Completion date (If the Completion date is indicated on the certificate it must be used instead of Issue date)
