Competency Requirements 

• Applicant’s name must match the RIW cardholder (shortened names, e.g. Chris for Christopher, are acceptable).
• All certificates must show a clearly visible issue date. Where applicable, a valid until / expiry date should also be shown.
• All certificates must display a corporate logo/seal and be signed by the issuing authority.
• Applicants must provide proof of Engineers Australia membership or registration. The evidence must:
  1. Show the Engineers Australia logo.
  2. Show the Area of Engineering as Civil or Structural Engineering
  3. Must state 'Chartered' or CPENG ("Student", "Graduate", "Engineering Technologist" and "Engineering Associate" are NOT accepted)
• Include one of the following types of supporting evidence:
  1. CPEng/NER yearly certificate (depending on qualification)
  2. Letter of Membership Confirmation from Engineers Australia
  3. Current Engineers Australia Victorian Registration Outcome report
  4. Current Engineers Australia RPEV Assessment letter
  5. Printed profile from Engineers Australia Engineering Portfolio showing:
     • Name matching RIW system
     • Occupational Category as “Professional Engineer”
     • Area of Practice
     • Registration Date
     • Membership grade (Member or Fellow)
     • Chartered status as “Chartered Professional Engineer” (CPEng only)
