Competency Requirements  A Statement of Attainment (SOA) as evidence of initial attainment (in lieu of a VOC) is accepted where it has been issued within the past 2 years and meets the following requirements; Applicant's name on the document must match the cardholder's registered name (shortened versions of first names are acceptable) Issued by RTO whose status is current on training.gov.au Must display the unit of competency that corresponds to the item of plant Must display RTO Name, RTO Number and name or signature of issuer  Must display training completion date or issue date.  The SOA must have been issued within the last 2 years. Expiry is calculated as 2 years from the issue or completion date
