Competency requirements

• Evidence for this competency can be either a Statement of Attainment or a Certificate of Currency showing completion of Test rail using ultrasonic testing equipment (or similar, can be different wording depending on issuer).
• Document must be issued by either an RTO or in accordance with practices detailed in the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing SNT-TC-1A 2001 or the Australian Standard AS 1085.20 (tester of rail welds to hold a minimum of AS 3998/ISO9712 certification or similar qualifications).
• The certificate must be current and up to 5 years old to ensure it is valid for this competency.
• A black & white or colour copy of the certificate is accepted but must be clear and legible.

Upload requirements

• Issue date = Date of completion of training.
• Expiration date is to be recorded as the date which is 5 years from the issue date. 
• Certificate issued by Australian Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (AINDT) showing Ultrasonic Testing is accepted (5-year expiry as indicated on certificate).
