Competency Requirements 

  • The applicant's name must be displayed on the certificate.
  • The name on the certificate must match the cardholder's registered name (however shortened versions such as 'Chris' for 'Christopher' will be accepted).
  • The certificate must be issued by Backsafe.
  • The certificate must state the completion of the MTM Manual Handling Training Program or MTM Rollingstock Manual Handling Training Program.
  • The certificate must include a certificate number.

Upload Requirements

  • Award Date: Date of Completion
  • Expiry: 3 Years from Award Date

Competency Requirements

  • Applicant's name must be shown on the document 
  • Applicant's name on the document to match the applicants' name in RIW (However shortened first names such as 'Chris' for 'Christopher' are accepted)
  • Evidence must be a Certificate of Completion and have the following:
    • Evidence must have a date of completion date
    • Evidence must have Employee Name and Number 
    • Evidence must have the MTM Rollingstock Training Department Logo
  • Evidence must state Operation of 1500V Overhead Switch and the depot on the certificate must match the relevant competency as per below:
    • Operation of 1500V Overhead Switch within Craigieburn Depot Building
    • Operation of 1500V Overhead Switch within Bayswater Depot Building
    • Operation of 1500V Overhead Switch within Epping Depot Building
    • Operation of 1500V Overhead Switch within Newport Depot Building
    • Operation of 1500V Overhead Switch within North Melbourne Depot Building
    • Operation of 1500V Overhead Switch within Westall Depot Building

Upload Requirements

  • Award date = Date of completion.
  • Expiry Date = 36 months from date of completion.

    • The siding listed on the evidence must match the siding the evidence has been uploaded against in RIW.
    • The evidence must state that 'MFWI 440001 – Protection of Personnel Performing Maintenance & Commissioning in Sidings' has been completed.
    • The evidence must be clear and legible.

  • Evidence must state Site Induction, and the depot on the certificate must match the competency name.
