Work Log.QR - 0-6 month transition utilisation - PO (93013)
Competency requirements This 0-6 month monitoring competency is for QNRP transitioned Protection Officers only who have attended either 2021 PO Transition training with Accell or 2021 PO Refresher training with Queensland Rail. It does not apply to new Protection Officers.
This is the initial utilisation stage of the monitoring process for a qualified Protection Officer (PO) following attendance for the 2021 PO Transition Course with Accell Training or 2021 Refresher Course with Queensland Rail. The evidence file for this competency is the Protection Officer Certificate of Achievement Transition/Refresher as awarded from PO 2021 Transition/Refresher training and has a 6 month validity period* (see NOTE at end).
For the once off awarding of this competency, the Certificate of Achievement for QR Protection Officer (Protection Officer Transition certificate from Accell Training or 3.16 Protection Officer (QNRP Refresher) from Queensland Rail ONLY, not recertification certificate - not accepted) can be accepted, providing it is in date/valid.
The monitoring stages after completing transition training include - initial utilisation (0-6 month monitoring, set with 6 month expiry) followed by the Annual monitoring cycle. Once the 0-6 month transition monitoring competency has been fulfilled, the next monitoring activity due is annual monitoring (due no later than 6 months from the initialisation date which is the attained date shown on the Certificate of Achievement).

Upload requirements Issue date = Date of Completion on Certificate of Achievement Expiry Date - Set to 6 months from the Date of Completion on Certificate of Achievement* (see NOTE at end).
NOTE: The QR - Protection Officer Certificate of Achievement (Transition) is to be used as the initial utilisation document. The COA awarded as part of the transition training course will include "transition" (if awarded by Accell) or “Refresher” (if awarded by Queensland Rail) on the document.
NOTE: Queensland Rail has provided an extension to the validity period for this 0-6 month monitoring competency to 31/03/22. This provides for the first actual monitoring activity in QNRP V7 to be performed and confirmed in RIW system up unto 31/03/22. If the completion of any monitoring event falls outside of this new extended date the evidence is to be rejected and the person advised to seek advice from [email protected] |
