Job Role: Track Certifier - National


Role Description

Workers with the Track Certifier - National role must be able to identify and measure both the scope of work and quality of track construction work. The role requires the knowledge and skills to identify the relevant construction specifications and to determine whether the track meets those specifications and standards. It includes knowledge of the Inspection and Test Plan processes in order to understand when hold points and witness points are required. In addition, the certifier needs to know the maintenance standards for the track in order for any outstanding work to be defined with the appropriate train operating restriction until all remedial work is completed.
